The National Employment Lawyers Association’s (NELA) Trial Boot Camp is an intensive three-day program tailored specifically for plaintiffs’ employment lawyers. Whether you’re a seasoned trial attorney or just starting out, Boot Camp provides valuable insights and practical strategies for navigating employment cases in the courtroom.

There are two types of registration for the Trial Boot Camp:

Trial Boot Camp Advocates

Registering as a Trial Boot Camp Advocate will provide you the opportunity to refine your trial techniques and perfect your individual style by participating in skill building workshops and conducting two three-hour mock trials. This format will enable you to learn by doing, observe other lawyers practice their techniques, and receive constructive feedback.

Trial Boot Camper

If you register as a Trial Boot Camper, you will not participate actively in the workshops or conduct the mock trials, but you will learn by attending and observing the lectures and demonstrations, skill-building workshops, mock trials, and critiques. Campers will be assigned to Trial Teams based on level of experience.

Look for details and registration in mid-2026.

If you’re interested in contributing to the development of our next Trial Boot Camp, we’d love to hear from you! Reach out to us at nelahq@nelahq.org to get involved.
