NELA is excited to announce ReNika Moore, Director of the ACLU’s Racial Justice Program, will join us at the 2021 Annual Convention as our Keynote Speaker. The ACLU’s Racial Justice Program takes on issues in a range of areas including education, housing, the economy, and the criminal justice system.
Prior to joining the ACLU, Ms. Moore served as Labor Bureau Chief of the New York Office of the Attorney General. During her tenure, the Labor Bureau was nationally recognized for aggressively enforcing labor standards on behalf of low-wage workers. Before joining the NYAG, Ms. Moore supervised and coordinated the NAACP Legal Defense Fund’s economic justice litigation, public education, and public policy efforts. Ms. Moore also worked with the employment law firm Outten & Golden LLP representing workers who had been unlawfully discriminated against or had been unlawfully denied their earned wages.Ms. Moore received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and A.B. from Harvard College cum laude.
NELA’s Annual Convention draws attorneys, paraprofessionals, law students, and other workers’ rights advocates from across the country. Our signature event of the year promotes the professional development of plaintiffs’ employment lawyers through educational sessions, identification of resources and business partners, networking, and social events.
