Ernest F. Teitell’s practice reflects his 33 years of trial experience and focuses on the representation of individuals who have suffered life-altering injuries as a result of defective products, medical negligence, premise/liability, or sexual abuse. Ernie served as President of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Ernie has taught Trial Practice and Advanced Trial Practice as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Quinnipiac University School of Law since 1987, is a member of Quinnipiac University President’s Advisory Board, and serves as Chairperson of the Dean’s Counsel of the Quinnipiac University Law School. Ernie received an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from the Law School in 2003 and the Barrister’s Award for Outstanding Service to Students from the school in 2005. Ernie received the 2004 Pro-Bono Award for the Connecticut Law Tribune for his volunteer work representing Connecticut families and victims of 9/11. He also received the Connecti cut Law Tribune 2009 Publisher’s Award for his work in stopping politicians’ raid of the Client Security Fund which was created to compensate victims whose life savings were stolen by unscrupulous lawyers. Ernie has taught numerous times at AAJ’s Trial Advocacy Colleges and other AAJ programs as well as at The National Institute of Trial Advocacy workshops. Since 2007, he has chaired the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Plaintiff’s Trial Academy. Ernie is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and is a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Ernie received his law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans and his undergraduate degree from Bethany College.
