Bill Lann Lee is a shareholder in the firm of Lewis, Feinberg, Lee, Renaker & Jackson, P.C., Oakland, California, where he specializes in prosecuting employment discrimination class actions and civil rights class actions. Mr. Lee was the nation’s top civil rights prosecutor as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights in the U.S. Department of Justice from 1997-2001. He was for many years head of the Los Angeles office of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. and a lawyer in the Fund’s New York office. Mr. Lee chaired the bipartisan National Commission on the Voting Rights Act, which compiled evidence for the successful extension of the Act in July 2006.
