Rachel Bien, a Partner and Co-Chair of the firm's Class & Collective Action Practice Group, joined Outten & Golden LLP after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas G. Nelson on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Her practice focuses on complex multi-plaintiff litigation, including hybrid wage and hour class and collective actions and Title VII discrimination class actions. Ms. Bien has represented employees across many industries, including restaurant workers, skilled service technicians and repair people, healthcare marketing representatives, tech workers, mortgage brokers, and underwriters. She is active in the American Bar Association, where she currently serves as the Employee Vice-Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section’s National Programs Subcommittee. Ms. Bien speaks frequently on wage and hour topics and other issues affecting low-wage workers.
