Michael J. Leech is a founding member of NELA and of Illinois NELA. He is a fellow in the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation. Mr. Leech currently practices as an independent mediator and arbitrator in Chicago, with an emphasis in employment, wage and hour class actions, and commercial litigation cases. He is a distinguished fellow of the International Academy of Mediators and treasurer of the Association of Attorney-Mediators. He co-authored the legal treatise Holloway & Leech, Employment Termination: Rights and Remedies (BNA 1985, 2d Ed. 1993, Supp. 2003), contributed the chapter on National Origin Discrimination in the third edition of Linderman & Grossman, Employment Discrimination Law, and wrote an extensive chapter on “Partners and Minority Shareholders” for the Illinois Institute for CLE’s Handbook on Employment Termination.
