Laurie McCann is a Senior Staff Attorney with AARP Foundation Litigation. Her principal responsibilities include litigation and amicus curiae participation for AARP on a broad range of age discrimination and employee benefit issues. Prior to her career at AARP, she worked for the Select Committee on Aging of the U.S. House of Representatives. Her publications include, The ADEA and the Eleventh Amendment, 2 EMPLOYEE RIGHTS AND EMPLOYMENT POLICY JOURNAL 241 (1998). Most recently, she co-authored the chapter on age discrimination with Cathy Ventrell-Monsees in The New Politics of Old Age Policy (2nd edition). She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and received a Masters in Gerontology (with emphases on employment and public policy) from the Andrus Gerontology Center at the University of Southern California. She graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1992.
