Robert (Bob) R. Debes, Jr. has been practicing law for more than 21 years. For the last 7 years, he has devoted his nationwide practice to the recovery of unpaid wages for employees in the service industry – primarily waiters, bartenders, exotic dancers, hotel employees, car valets, and other tipped employees. He was co-lead counsel in the nationwide collective action against coffee giant, Starbucks, seeking overtime wages on behalf of assistant store managers. He has several reported decisions in the area of the ‘tip credit’ and certification of collective actions, and his cases are often referred to or cited as authority by courts around the country. Bob is a member of the NELA Wage and Hour Committee, a Baylor graduate, and received his law degree in 1989 from South Texas College of Law in Houston.
