Jill Gaulding is a practicing lawyer with a background in two academic fields—law and cognitive science. After studying cognitive science and linguistics at MIT, Ms. Gaulding joined Teach For America, teaching science for two years in New York City. She then attended Cornell Law School, graduating summa cum laude, and spent three years as a Bundeskanzler Scholar in Germany, studying German and European discrimination law. Returning to the U.S., she clerked for Judge Sandra Lynch on the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced employment law for several years at Dwyer & Collora, LLP, before accepting a faculty position at the University of Iowa College of Law, where she taught Employment Discrimination Law. She currently practices with Schaefer Law Firm, LLC, in Minneapolis, representing individuals in employment law matters, and serves on the amicus Advisory Council of the National Employment Lawyers Association.
