Kate Hegé is the Directing Attorney of the California Rural Legal Assistance El Centro, California office. Before joining CRLA, Kate was the Coordinating Attorney for the La Raza Centro Legal Workers’ Rights Program in San Francisco, California. Prior to joining the non-profit legal community, Kate worked in private practice representing low-wage, Spanish-speaking, immigrant workers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Kate is the outgoing Chair of the California Employment Lawyers Association, Immigrant Employee Rights Committee and an active member of the Coalition of Low-Wage and Immigrant Worker Advocates. She is a graduate of UC Hastings College of the Law.
