Professor Lisa Stratton is the Director and Supervising Attorney of the University of Minnesota Law School's Worker's Rights Clinic. Prior to joining the faculty, Professor Stratton had a private practice representing plaintiffs in all types of employment discrimination and harassment cases. At the class action law firm of Sprenger & Lang, PLLP, Professor Stratton was one of two attorneys representing a nationwide class of female TV technicians who sued CBS television and obtained class certification and an $8 million settlement for the class. She has represented individual employees in cases involving sex and race discrimination as well as immigrants from Asia, Mexico and Iran in national origin discrimination cases. Her clients have worked in diverse employment settings including high-tech assembly plants, paper and sugar mills, large corporations, hospitals and universities. Professor Stratton has served as a Board Member and Vice President of the Minnesota NELA chapter and currently serves as a Co-Chair of NELA's National Origin Committee. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section and authors the case law report on Title VII for the section's quarterly publication. Minnesota Law and Politics magazine has named her a "Super Lawyer."
