Amy Coopman is a civil litigator, principally representing plaintiffs in employment related disputes, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, FMLA and FLSA rights, and employment agreement violations. Ms. Coopman also provides counseling and training to employers on employment law issues. Ms. Coopman has successfully litigated numerous employment cases in federal and state court, including a nationwide race discrimination class action lawsuit against Walgreen’s that was resolved in 2008 for $24 million. Ms. Coopman’s number one priority is to help her clients achieve fairness and justice in the workplace. Ms. Coopman is a recipient of the 2010 Missouri Super Lawyers Rising Star Award. The award recognizes Missouri’s outstanding up-and-coming attorneys. Ms. Coopman is also a frequent speaker at seminars for attorneys and human resources personnel on current employment law topics. She is a staunch supporter and leader of the National Employment Lawyers Association. Ms. Coopman graduated from University of Kansas School of Law, J.D., 1995; University of Kansas, B.A., 1992 Honors: Highest Distinction.
