William Bush is an attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands. He successfully litigated one of the first private enforcement actions under the Family and Medical Leave Act. He is a member of NELA, and a founding member of the Tennessee Employment Lawyer’s Association (TENNELA). He serves as plaintiff’s co-chair of the FMLA Subcommittee of the ABA’s Section of Labor and Employment Law. He is also Editor in Chief of The Family and Medical Leave Act, an annual treatise supplement jointly published by the ABA and Bloomberg BNA. He is a frequent presenter on employment law topics. He is a 2008 recipient of the B. Riney Green Award for promoting inter-program cooperation and otherwise strengthening the provision of legal aid in Tennessee. He is a graduate of Princeton University and Case Western Reserve University Law School.
