Kristin D. Alden represents clients in matters relating to employment, labor, and benefits in the federal courts and federal, state and local agencies. Ms. Alden manages the Alden Law Group, PLLC, which represents primarily federal sector clients such as individuals, unions and federal agencies. For six years, Ms. Alden was been a member of the D.C. Bar’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee where her last position was Vice Chair. Ms. Alden is a frequent speaker, lecturer and moderator and is active with the DC Bar, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association (MWELA) and the Women’s Bar Association. She is a co-author of the Federal Employees Legal Survival Guide: How to Protect and Enforce Your Job Rights, published by Workplace Fairness and Passman & Kaplan, P.C. (2004). Ms. Alden was a contributing author to Employment Discrimination Law, Third Edition, Second Supplement, American Bar Association, Section of Labor and Employment Law. She has appeared on radio and television programs discussing current topics in employment law. Ms. Alden received her J.D. in 1992 from the Washington College of Law of the American University and her B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University in 1989, and attended its School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy. Ms. Alden is admitted to practice law in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
