Kathleen Eldergill is a partner and has practiced at the office of Beck & Eldergill, P.C., 447 Center Street, Manchester, Connecticut since 1981, primarily representing plaintiffs in employment matters, civil rights claims and other civil litigation. She has special expertise in litigating constitutional claims and other claims on behalf of government employees and significant experience litigating claims of discrimination and retaliation under state and federal law. Ms. Eldergill graduated from University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT with a B.A. Bachelor of Arts, Honors: Summa Cum Laude in 1976 and is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, School of Law, Hartford, CT in 1981 with Honors: Magna Cum Laude. Ms. Eldergill participated in the Connecticut Law Review, 1979-1981. She has been admitted to the Connecticut Superior Court and United States District Court, District of Connecticut since 1981, the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit since 1983 and United States Supreme Court since 1988. Ms. Eldergill has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1996 and is an active member in the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, Manchester Bar Association, American Association For Justice (formerly American Trial Lawyers Association), National Employment Lawyers Association, and the Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association. She is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Connecticut Bar Foundation, James W. Cooper Fellows Program. Since 1999 she has been a Commissioner, Small Claims Court, Judicial Branch, State of Connecticut and since 2003 has assisted with the Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund. She was a member of the Client Security Fund Committee Judicial Branch, State of Connecticut from 2005-2010 and from 2006 to the present has been a Special Master, United States District Court, District of Connecticut. Ms. Eldergill has been rated “AV” (the highest possible ranking) by Martindale-Hubble and has been selected as one of the top lawyers in her field by Super Lawyers, Best Attorneys Network, and Best Lawyers in America.
