0 Programs with Stephen A. Brandon
Stephen (Steve) A. Brandon was, for nearly 20 years, a partner with regional and national law firms which exclusively defended management in litigation involving claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, and other types of business disputes in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama. In 2010, Mr. Brandon formed his own law firm, in Jackson, Mississippi, where he provides representation to individuals in relation to a broad variety of legal claims. Mr. Brandon grew up in Clarksdale, Mississippi, next to the Mississippi River in the Delta, and lived on the street of playwright Tom “Tennessee” Williams’ boyhood home. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University, and his law degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) School of Law. Mr. Brandon is admitted to practice before courts in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and the District of Columbia. He is proud to say that he is a seventh-generation Mississippian, and that he is a distant grandchild of the state’s first native-born governor, Gerard C. Brandon, who held office twice (from 1825 until 1832) and helped to write Mississippi’s first two constitutions. However, in rare moments of candor Mr. Brandon also reluctantly admits that this kinship has yet to yield any long-lost treasures or valuable inheritances.
