Gary M. Gilbert is the Principal and also works as a senior attorney of The Law Offices of Gary M. Gilbert & Associates, P.C., which he established in May 2005. Prior to the opening of his own practice, he was Of Counsel to the Washington, DC employment law firm, Passman & Kaplan, P.C. Immediately prior to this position, Mr. Gilbert served as an Administrative Judge, then Chief Administrative Judge in the Baltimore District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for a total of 16 years. He has authored many publications in the area of federal sector employment law. He is the author of Compensatory Damages and Other Remedies in Federal Sector Employment Discrimination Cases, an exhaustive review of the damages available to victims of employment discrimination now in its 6th edition. Mr. Gilbert also writes the Federal Sector Disability Discrimination Law Deskbook, now in its 5th edition. He co-authors the Consolidated Federal Sector EEO Update, a yearly publication which summarizes recently published decisions of the EEOC. Mr. Gilbert received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland, School of Law in Baltimore. He is a member of the bars of the States of Maryland and Florida.
