Michael C. Subit is a partner at the Seattle law firm of Frank Freed Subit & Thomas LLP. For over 20 years, he has represented plaintiffs in employment and other civil rights cases. He also represents unions in labor matters. He is a graduate of Yale University, summa cum laude, and Stanford Law School, with honors, where he was a member of the law review. He is a former law clerk to Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and also clerked for Judge William Wayne Justice of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He has authored many articles on employment issues for national and regional legal publications, presented at numerous legal conferences throughout the United States, and appeared as a television legal analyst for NBC Nightly News, CNN, MSNBC, and the Fox News Network. Washington Law & Politics has for the past 14 years named Mr. Subit one of Washington State’s “Super Lawyers” in the area of labor and employment. He is also listed in Best Lawyers in America and was chosen by his peers in the Puget Sound region as the Employment Lawyer of the Year, Individual Employees, for 2014. He is the immediate past Employee Co-Chair of the ABA Section of Labor & Employment Law’s Equal Employment Opportunity Committee. He is a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers.
