Kathryn S. Piscitelli is an employee advocate based in Orlando, Florida. Ms. Piscitelli is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Labor and Employment Law and Chair of the Florida Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Certification Committee. She is an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and its Florida affiliate and serves as an advisor to NELA on legislation relating to USERRA. She is the co-author (with NELA member Edward Still) of a treatise on USERRA, The USERRA Manual: Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights (Thomson Reuters/ Westlaw 2015). Ms. Piscitelli wrote one of the first law review articles on USERRA, Veterans’ Employment Rights: Keeping in Step with USERRA’s Legion of Changes, 46 Lab. L.J. 387 (1995). In 2004, she chaired a NELA task force that submitted comments to the Department of Labor on then-proposed USERRA regulations. She has spoken on USERRA at numerous continuing legal education programs, including seminars sponsored by NELA, the American Association for Justice, American Bar Association, and the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Florida Bar.
