Aaron Kaufmann is a principal at Hinton Alfert Sumner & Kaufmann in Walnut Creek, California. He received his B.A. in Rhetoric from U.C. Berkeley in 1986 and his J.D. from U.C. Hastings College of the Law in 1990. Aaron is an employment law specialist and frequent author and lecturer in the areas of wage and hour law and employment class actions, and represents workers in individual and class action employment litigation, with particular emphasis on wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation and whistle-blower law. Over the past decade, he has served as class counsel in dozens of wage and hour class and collective actions. He serves on the Board of Editors for the American Bar Association's treatise on The Fair Labor Standards Act and is currently Co-Editor-in-Chief for the annual supplements to that treatise. Aaron is also a newly elected Fellow to The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
