Whether you are a solo, in a firm with others, or working in a firm with multiple locations, you aim for a plaintiffs’ employment practice that thrives, not just survives. In this panel, practitioners from different size offices from across the country will offer practice to help you do that no matter where you are—even in a political climate and in geographic locations that many consider to be hostile to employees’ claims. She is the current President of NELA and serves on the executive boards of NELA-Alabama and the Labor and Employment Section of the Alabama State Bar. In 1995, Ms. Haynes successfully litigated a sexual harassment and hostile work environment case resulting in an $8 million verdict, and in 2002, she litigated a race discrimination case that stemmed from the denial of promotions to two African American men where the jury rendered a verdict of $3.5 million. Ms. Haynes has practiced law with her brother Kenny Haynes in Birmingham, Alabama for over 20 years, and they have tried many cases together. Recently, they secured $1.2 million and $800,000 jury verdicts in ADEA cases; a $5.75 million jury verdict in a sexual harassment and retaliation case; and a $2.7 million verdict for a victim of egregious sexual harassment.
