The National Employment Lawyers Association’s Trial Boot Camp is an intensive three-day skills-based program specifically designed for plaintiffs’ employment lawyers at all levels of trial experience. The Boot Camp will feature interactive demonstrations and presentations on successful techniques and strategies for trying employment cases, as well as mock proceedings designed to mimic the rigorous pace and schedule of trial. Topics covered will include voir dire, direct and cross-examination of witnesses, closing arguments, and more.

Trial Boot Camp Advocates

Registering as a Trial Boot Camp Advocate will provide you the opportunity to refine your trial techniques and perfect your individual style by participating in skill building workshops and conducting two three-hour mock trials. This format will enable you to learn by doing, observe other lawyers practice their techniques, and receive constructive feedback. Advance preparation is required for Trial Boot Camp Advocates.

Trial Boot Camper

If you register as a Trial Boot Camper, you will not participate actively in the workshops or conduct the mock trials, but you will learn by attending and observing the lectures and demonstrations, skill-building workshops, mock trials, and critiques. Campers will be assigned to Trial Teams based on level of experience.
